What was the most luxurious car on the property before the First World War?
I read that Lozier Motor Company built on top of car line priced between U.S. $ 4600 and U.S. $ 7750 but were the most expensive?
Lozier was top of the line, but waaaaay back (circa 1910). I think the peak pre-war technology and luxury had to be Duesenberg. They were in production until 1937 and featured high-tech edge and committed luxury. Coach more were built, with bodies built by 3rd party companies in the Duesenberg chassis. When car name finds its way into the language as the best (a dusey, doozie, doozy) you know there must be something behind it. They were expensive back then and could exceed the $ 25,000 in 1930. Today, the rarest models in the best condition and an interesting history of the property are as valuable as they come. The prices of a lot of cars have gone nuts in recent years, but finding a list of all-time highest prices of classic cars, and always exceed Dusey any other American made machines. For Europeans, Bugatti was its equal and there is a lot of classic Ferraris were sold by lot and still do. Edit: dummy myself, I only realized it was not World War II (why insist on the first and second instead of 1 and 2?). Well, not knowing much about them, and I'll let someone else answer.
