Possible to burn mp3 music files to play in regular Car CD player?

I tried to make a CD and put about 150 songs on it for almost 700 MB. I played it back on my computer and it worked. However it did not work in my car in a standard CD player. I made the CD by picking the ‘make data CD’ option, and if I would have picked the ‘make audio CD option’ I would nly be able to put about 20 songs. Is it possible to do this without getting an mp3 CD player into my automobile? Like signficantly reduce file size without messing up music quality so I can fit more than 20 songs, or convert it into a file and burn it a certain way for it to work in a non-mp3 player.

No it isn’t. Mp3 is a file format that the cd player in the dash has to be able to read in order to play them. A standard audio cd is in WAV format, and obviously much larger files that require more disc space. You may be able to reduce the size of those WAV files but not without badly affecting quality. It won’t be worth doing and you still won’t get them down anywhere near the size of an mp3 file.
