Dual headlights question???

Of the three major American automobile manufacturers, which one was the first to put dual headlights on a production vehicle?

I had General Motors in mind becuase I thought the actual first car to have the dual headlights was a Cadillac. Is there anyone that can confirm or refute this?

It was GM,but it was the 57 Corvette.
