Cheap Automobile Tires

What automobile lasts the longest when compared to its cost?

I mean which car will travel the furthest without having to replace something major (like a transmission), doesn’t have any stupid hidden costs (like cheap tires), and will just be all around reliable? From those left, which car is maybe the best for the money?

It depends if you want to buy new or used. I generally purchase cars around the neighborhood of one to four thousand dollars. In that market I would go with either Toyota or Honda. My personal picks would be a 1993-2002 Toyota Corolla or 1992-2001 Camry(but you could go with a Geo Prizm as it’s the same car as the Corolla). If you want to go Honda, get a 1992-2000 Civic or a 1994-1997 Accord, they come in that price range, although the newer you get the more expensive things are. I disagree with the comments about Toyotas handling bad, they are in the same boat as Honda. I’d test drive both and come to your conclusions if you are interested in either of those.

If you are buying new, I would consider a Honda Civic, as they have more bang for the buck when it comes to their features, performance, and looks.

Either way Honda and Toyota are probably the best known vehicles to last a very long time. I have a friend with a Civic and a friend with a Corolla and they are both above 250,000 miles with their cars and they haven’t had any engine or transmission problems at all.
