Where cars are banned?

I really like cars. I think they stink, and not sound horrible at all reasonable means of transport. Unfortunately, there are not many of my kind. If someone can tell where on this planet Earth is a region where people ban cars for the reason of a better life in a pleasant environment, please let me know.
