How much to send a Mercedes hard top car and be within the United States?

I'm trying to send a hard roof of a Mercedes SL500 from California to Texas. Anyone have any suggestions for the company to use, and what might it cost? How to handle containers and the top hard?

Excluding transport truck at a cost that may be a couple of hundred to five hundred (depending on distance, and the company), can also mark a freight railroad. I know a woman who wanted to take his car on a trip, and found the boat he could by rail, much less than any other method. It will deliver the car a few days before leaving, and picked it up on arrival. (He had developed the calendar with the railroad.) Packaging the hardtop will be necessary you receive, or build a wooden paddle for it. Strap down tightly to the pallet, cover with styrofoam balls, and ShrinkWrap, or a stack of newspapers, ShrinkWrap and also cardboard. Make sure you are very well wrapped and well packaged for damage.
