how did the development of the automobile have such a big impact in the 1930′s?
I would say faster shipping and transport had positive effect on the economy. Although that may not be easy to measure since the economy was so poor at the time. Also, many people couldn’t afford them during the depression. Also from a manufacturing side, Michigan brought in a lot of money and jobs through car plants.
