Automobile Growth In India

what is history of automobiles industry in india and what are the growth prospect in future.?
India’s manufacturing capabilities have yet to be fully explored, but I’d anticipate huge growth in the future. I’m sure the factories will move from building knockoffs of British cars (the infamous but beloved Hindustan Ambassador) and soon begin turning out more modern products, license built from Japanese, Korean, and other manufacturers. Whatever happens, I’m sure it will be interesting. India’s emerging dominance in computer technology will no doubt serve to enhance the automotive industry, since future cars will require extensive digital controls and systems.
