Global 3-pc. Cutlery Set

$234.95

This cutlery set from Global comes with 3 of Global’s most popular kitchen knives. The (G48) 7-in Hollow Ground Santoku knife is the all purpose shape. The (GS-3) 5.25-in. Utility Knife is an all purpose knife. Finally, the (GS-38) 3.5 inch paring knife. The knives are light weight and reduce hand fatigue. Global knives have a smooth contour and the seamless, all stainless construction eliminates food and dirt traps. The majority of Global knives are ground to a straight point rather than the western style of beveling the knife’s edge. To balance their knives Global uses a hollow handle that is filled with just the right amount of sand to create the correct balance. Global knifes are forged in Japan from CROMOVA 18 Stainless Steel, a blend of 18 percent chromium for good stain resistance plus molybdenum and vanadium which gives excellent edge retention. Global was a global pioneer introducing kitchen knives made from one-piece stainless. Global kitchen knives started 1985 in Japan. They were presented in European markets in Ambiente (Frankfurt fair) in 1988. These were the first one-piece stainless steel kitchen knives in the world market this time.
