Automobile Door Locks

neeeeddddd lil heellllllppppp plzzz?

Everyone knows now that newly manufactured automobiles are required to have airbags pre-installed. However, in the early years of the government mandate it was clear that not only did airbags save lives but they were also the cause of deaths as well especially among small children. Eventually the government relented and allowed for manufacturers to install a device that allowed deactivation. Do you think government actions allowing airbag deactivation would have been as swift or as likely if all the fatalities had been been among adults rather than chiefly among small children? By the way, consider the fact that most people put locks on their doors to protect themselves from intruders without government regulation requiring them to do so. If airbags are so good at protecting people from injuries and death, why were government regulations required to get them installed on automobiles?

The airbag laws were an obvious result of cause and effect … people were dying without airbags – so the government mandated them. Then children in the front seat were dying from airbags so they have a deactivation mechanism. I bought a new car in 2008 and hate the way the air bag mechanism is configured. All new cars must have a seat belt reminder noise as well, which is directly hooked up to the air bag, If the seat belt isn’t clipped, the air bag is off. But even if I put groceries on my seat, the car beeps at me every 5 minutes to use the seat belt. I want to unhook the beep mechanism, but this would deactivate my airbag indefinitely ! How annoying …
For an easy fix:
People should keep small children in the back seat so they aren’t decapitated by the airbag in case of accident.
