when is the right time to ask for a raise?

I was hired in dec’04 with the agreement that in 3 months I would have a review and a raise if I did well. I ended up getting my review in 5 months. So in May ’05 I received an hourly wage raise as well as a commision raise. I have been there for 2 years now and Im wondering if now is a good time to ask for a raise. I am a great worker, I know this because my boss and I have had multiple discussions on how well I do.l work as an automobile parts counterperson at a dealership and it has come to my attention that raises are hard to come by in this business. What do you think? is it time or should I wait?

The best time to ask for a raise in pay is: when your boss is in a good mood, business is going good, you have just accomplished something good at work, and you have alot of confidence in yourself.

When that time comes, just be honest, point out what you have accomplished, and ask for it.
