What’s the specific name of Auto-tuning device for EFI cars?

I want to purchase the said device, that is used for analysing a problem in Electronic Fuel Injection cars or simply for tuning, as EFI cars can not be tuned without this laptop like device. I run an automobile workshop and I want to expand my services by purchasing the auto-tuning devices. One more thing, where can I get the software for this device (for cheaper)? I’ve heard that each car has its own different software. The cars mostly in use here are Toyota Corolla (1.3, 1.6 and 1.8 VVTi), Toyota Vitz (1.0 VVTi), Suzuki Baleno, Suzuki Liana, Suzuki APV, Honda Civic (1.4, 1.6, 1.8 VVTi) etc. So do I have to purchase each car’s software separately? Is there any way to find a bargain on these software as I’m under a financial crunch.

Sounds like you’re describing an engine management system, which can be found from AEM. In such case, the program that is used to tune each car is the same, however, each car must replace it’s ECU with an EMS.

There are a few other programs that essentially just monitor readings from an OBDII output, but won’t allow you to tune anything.

My best advice, is to contact AEM and see about getting certified to program their systems. There’s not a lot of shops that are actually certified in doing so, so it’s an extra service you could offer your clients. I know I personally have to look around for one, everytime I need to retune my car, and for their expertise, I don’t mind paying a premium.
