Has anyone had the automobile painted at Maaco?
I saw an advertisement for a 295 special (compact, 100 extra for truck) and that seems too good to be true.
I had one of my high school mud toys painted there in the 90′s but only had it painted flat grey and it came out exactly how I expected. Nothing flashy, since I kept in in the mud.
But now I want to get the truck I want to paint my every day driver, but I only plan on keeping it for about 2 more years. Is MAACO that bad? Worth the 350 bucks?
More detail: And I would do a lot of prep work for them. I.e. sand, body work, and purchase a clear coat for 100 extra…
Basically all I will have them doing is spraying the paint and clear coat… I figure they can do it better than me.
My brother had his car painted at Maaco the price advertised on tv is the real price but may charge taxes. Their Service was horrible. If you aren’t to picky or if your car is a rust bucket then I say go for it but if your looking for quality paint expect to pay more and take it some where else. They only sprayed the exterior of the car black but inside the doors and trunk you could still see the original color gold. It was not a glossy black it was a dull blk like out of a spray can and they will pressure you to upgrade. If your not satisified with the paint job they will not go out of their way and will do nothing to make you a satisified customer. Would not recommend them unless your car is really in need of paint job.
